WELCOME TO FJELLVÆR KYST OG BONDEGÅRDSFERIE

People have lived here at least since the bronze age. A grave mound from that periode is still here and tells us so.

For hundreds of years til the reformation, the farm belonged to the church. After the reformation the king took all the farms belonging to the church for himself. Our farm was given to the beiliff as part of his salary. About 1750 the farm was for sale and came on private hands.The farm has belonged to the family since 1802.

You'll find us on FJELLVÆR in the community of HITRA - south of the Trondheimsfjord. Hitra is the largest island south of Lofoten. Today you can come here with car (R714) 160km from Trondheim or you can take the coastal express from Trondheim or Kristiansund.

Although Hitra is an island you can drive your own car all the way. We are linked to the mainland with an underwatertunnel and 2 bridges.
Here you'll find different types of landscape from shore to "high mountans", or at least the flowers and the birds normaly living in these areas.
You can reach any of the different types within 20 minutes when you are walking.

This is the place for recreation and get together

What can we offer you?

5 cottages with 25 beds (some of them double)

4 rooms in the mainhous with 8 beds

Cafe/restaurant with 80 chairs
in summer there are chairs in the open for 40 - 60 people as well.

Pub with drinks with and without alcohol

Library and place for groups to work under conferences.

Conferenceroom with overhead, flippover. Tv/video - pc / internett

We can help you with place - food - activities and a place to sleep

In the harbour there are 10 boats to hire, all of them with outboard motors 15 - 40 hp and lifejackets.

If you come visiting us from the sea, we have extra boatplaces for guests to hire when they are hier for a short time or several days or weeks.

Playground for the children you'll find on the shore and outside the restaurant.

Bicycles to rent is also awailable, if you want to see a greater part of the island without driving the car.

I gårdsmuseet vårt prøver vi å vise gårdens og øyas historie og utvikling

Har du lyst på litt aktivitet kan du f.eks prøve skotthyllbanen vår.

Du kan også leie deg en sykkel for å se deg litt om på øya uten bil

Også i år vil vi kåre beste kaster i klassen for menn - kvinner - junior.

I "Bussekaillstua" kan du tenne bål og grille, mens du drømmer om piratene som levde her for kanskje 1000 år siden.
